Abu Dhabi: The U.S. Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has announced the cancellation of consular appointments due to the regional security situation.
According to officials, all consular appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi scheduled between July 13 and July 15 have been canceled. Consular services at the U.S. Consulate in Dubai will also be affected during this period.
The embassy said that non-emergency U.S. government personnel have been relocated from the UAE. Routine U.S. visa services have been suspended until further notice, while passport assistance and other emergency consular services will continue to be provided via email.
U.S. officials have advised applicants with appointments during the affected dates not to visit the embassy. Those impacted will be contacted directly regarding the rescheduling of their appointments.
Officials added that the U.S. Embassy is currently operating with limited consular services.
