LAHORE: Transporters have announced that they will hold a national wide strike on Thursday due to tariffs, toll taxes and other increases fines in the country.
Transporters with heavy toll taxes and other fines have called for a nationwide strike in the country, protests will be held at twelve locations in Lahore, reports.
The Federal Cabinet approved a massive increase in fines on highways and motorways last year in November.

Transporters have decided that they would not operate transportation for vegetable and milk supplies while threatening to close the provincial capital’s internal and external roads.
Public and Goods Transporters Association officials said the strike would be observed by all types of vehicles, Transporters demanded an immediate withdrawal of unfair fines and taxes.
Talking to media chairman Azam Khan Niazi said the strike will continue until the increase notification is withdrawn by the government.
