MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the biggest challenge for Pakistan is tax evasion.
According to the details, the prime minister while talking to the flood victims during his one-day visit to Muzaffarabad said that today he has come to express his condolences. “The government will not sit down until your homes are restored,” he said.
“The life of 76 years of borrowing cannot continue,” he said by adding, “The time has come to make tough decisions for the economy.”
During the conversation, PM Shehbaz Sharif said, “We will help you without delay, Rs 20 lakh will be given to the families of the deceased and Rs 5 lakh to the injured. Rs 7 lakh compensation will be given to the owners of completely destroyed houses.”
The prime minister said that the owners of partially destroyed houses will get Rs 3.5 lakh compensation. “On March 13, all the funds will be given to the flood victims after the survey. Azad Kashmir government’s demand for a rescue helicopter is justified,” he added.
He said that the Kashmiri brothers are not alone in this hour of difficulty, more than 2 crore children are out of school. “We have to work together for the sake of Pakistan. The economic situation is dire. The salaries of government employees are being paid on loan,” he said.
