KARACHI: I. I. Chundrigar Road, which is considered one of the busiest areas of Sindh’s capital, has been flooded due to a burst water line.
According to details, a 6-inch diameter water line burst on I. I. Chundrigar Road. COO Water Board Engineer Asadullah Khan said that water has spread on the road due to the water line being affected.
Khan said that the water has spread from Ziauddin Road to the road leading to I. I. Chundrigar Road. “The water line has been closed from the pumping station to prevent further spread of water,” he said.

Khan said that suction machines have reached the scene to remove the water. “The cause of water pipeline damage is being investigated,” he added.
It should be noted that earlier in Karachi’s Clifton area, the underpass was flooded due to a burst water line, which suspended the traffic, however, in no time the water line had started repair.
Two years ago, a water line burst inside the underpass located next to the former Punjab Chowrangi in Clifton. As the underpass came under water, the flow of traffic was suspended after which police and rangers were called.
