As reported by Indain media, on the completion of 25 years of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Ekta Kapoor has officially announced the second season. Multiple Indian media reports have claimed that actress and politician Smriti Irani has officially signed the contract for the new season.

In addition to Smriti Irani, well-known actors from the previous season — Amar Upadhyay, Shakti Anand, and Kamalika Guha Thakurta — will also be part of the new season. Reports, citing sources, have claimed that the new season will begin airing on Star Plus from July 3.
Earlier, there were rumors that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 would be presented on an OTT platform, especially after the partnership between Netflix India and Balaji Telefilms, which led to speculation that the show might stream on Netflix. However, no official confirmation has been made in this regard.
