LAHORE: Smart lockdown has been implemented in different areas of Lahore and Multan due to increasing cases of coronavirus.
A notification has been issued to implement smart lockdown in 11 areas of Lahore, according to which smart lockdown has been implemented in New Muslim Town Block, Allama Iqbal Town, Raza Block, Sikandar Block, and Umar Block.
In addition, Smart Lockdown has been implemented in Garden Town, Cavalry Ground, DHA Phase, HBFC Block B, DHA Phase 6, and Askari 11.
The smart lockdown has also been imposed in Anarkali, Mozang, Shadman, and Gulshan-e-Ravi areas. During the smart lockdown, pharmacies, medical stores, laboratories, hospitals, and clinics will be open 24 hours a day, while general stores, vegetable shops, ovens and petrol pumps will be open from 9 am to 7 pm.
A notification has also been issued to implement smart lockdown in 5 areas of Multan. The smart lockdown has been implemented in Naqshband Colony, Gulgasht Colony, Khera Abad, Mepco Colony, Khawajaabad Kachehri Road, and Sadat Colony of Multan.
During the smart lockdown, pharmacies, medical stores, laboratories, hospitals, and clinics will be open 24 hours a day, while general stores, vegetable shops, ovens, and petrol pumps will be open from 9 am to 7 pm.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s Special Assistant for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan while talking to media yesterday said that smart lockdown is going to be carried out in the areas where more cases of Corona are being reported.
