Sindh Governor praises CPLC’s role in reducing crime

KARACHI: A 13-member delegation of the Crime Reporters Association has called on Sindh Governor Imran Ismail at Governor House.

Leader of Opposition Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh and Chief CPLC Sindh Zubair Habib were also present on the occasion. 

The delegation includes President of the Association Rao Imran, Vice President Amir Majeed, Secretary Taha Obaidi, Joint Secretary Monis Siraj, Treasurer Salman Lodhi, Information Secretary Khurram Gulzar while members of the Governing Body include Faizan Jalis, Salik Shah, Abdul Rehman Farooqi, Kamran Jalil and Fayyaz Younis and Akram Qureshi were present.

The issues facing the members of the delegation of the Crime Reporters Association were discussed during the meeting. On this occasion, CPLC Sindh Zubair Habib presented the 2021 report on crime in Karachi to the Governor of Sindh.

Governor Sindh appreciated the performance of CPLC in cooperating with the police in curbing the ongoing crime in the city.

Governor Sindh said that health carf is essential for the people of Sindh, that is why we are trying our best to introduce them in the province but the Sindh government is not cooperating in providing health card facility to the people of Sindh, he maintained.

The Sindh governor further said that the federal government was preparing a plan to issue health cards to all press clubs across the country. Governor Sindh also assured a solution to the problems of the delegation.
