ISLAMABAD: The government has issued new tenders for the import of 10 LNG cargoes to overcome the severe power crisis in the country.
According to sources, Pakistan Petroleum Limited has issued these tenders for July, August, and September cargoes. Tenders have been invited for two cargoes for July, and five cargoes for August, while bids have also been invited for three cargoes for September.

It is to be noted that the last date for submission of bids for LNG Cargoes is July 7. It may be recalled that earlier Pakistan LNG Limited had issued tenders on June 16 for two cargoes in the first and second week of July, one in the last week but on July 2-3, July 8-9, and July 25-26. No offers were received for July.
