KARACHI: For the first time in the past two years, the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a builder for violating the Building Control Act.
According to details, the lawsuit was filed against the builder on September 15 for breaking the seal of a plot and starting construction despite the building authority orders.
It is worth mentioning here that the building control authority halted construction and sealed the plot, located at Mahmoodabad No. 5, after water was filled in a pit, dug for construction.
The building authority, along with Baloch Colony Police, raided the said plot and arrested the builder, Adil Shah, who was constructing the building illegally. The builder was illegally constructing a residential building on the plot.
An official of the building authority informed that the application was filed on the complaint of Building Inspector Javed of SBCA Jamshed Town. The district police registered the case under Section 188 for violation of the Building Control Act No. 459/2020.
