ISLAMABAD: Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting, and Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani initiated a scuffle on Twitter over the tax collection steps taken by the government.
While earlier taking to social media Firdos Ashiq Awan Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting said, “those who plundered the wealth of the nation and controlled the economy on fake estimates don’t even realize that tax collection witnessed a rise under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s leadership.
She further said, “the government generated a tax of 2085 billion rupees in the first half of this financial year with an improvement of 16.4 percent over the previous year.

While Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani responded to Firdous Awan’s tweet, and he replied on twitter, ” the previous year was the only year in Pakistan’s history when, compared with the preceding year, your incompetent government collected less income and is also well behind its tax collection target this year.”

Earlier on January 10, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan had said that steps have been taken to provide technical training to the students of seminaries.
In a series of tweets, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan impressed the youth through his vision, steadfastness, and ideology who were frustrated over the corruption and dynastic politics in Pakistan.
