KARACHI: Robbers have started taking children along with them on motorcycles to avoid police checking in the Sindh capital.
The FB area police have claimed to have arrested a group of robbers who targeted civilians with children on motorbikes to evade them.
FB Area Police revealed that an accused arrested last night in an injured state confessed to committing criminal activities while he was accompanied by a three-year-old child on a motorcycle.
The accused revealed that during snap-checking, the police avoided stopping motorcyclists because of the child.
A number of mobile phones stolen from citizens were also recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
Earlier, Mominabad Police conducted an operation as a result of which four persons were arrested allegedly involved in several robbery incidents in Karachi.
The police spokesman claimed to have arrested four persons involved in criminal activities and recovered three weapons, a motorcycle, and other items from their possession.
According to the police, during the investigation, the arrested suspects have confessed to robberies in several areas of Karachi.
