LAHORE: The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) has nominated Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) for the prestigious 2026 IACP Leadership in the Prevention of Vehicle Crimes Award, recognizing the agency’s innovative policing strategies and leadership in crime prevention.
In a formal letter addressed to DIG Ahsan Younas, IACP President David B. Rausch congratulated the PSCA and Punjab Police, Lahore, on being selected as the recipient of the award.
“Your agency is a true example of leadership in the policing profession,” the letter stated, underscoring international recognition of Pakistan’s efforts in modern policing.
The award will be formally conferred during the IACP Annual Awards Banquet at the close of the 2026 IACP Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Florida. The ceremony is scheduled for October 27, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center.
As part of the recognition, PSCA will receive complimentary conference registration, hotel accommodation, tickets to the awards banquet, and a one-year membership to the IACP. The benefits, according to the association, may be distributed among the agency’s representatives.
Officials said the award highlights PSCA’s role in deploying technology-driven solutions to curb vehicle-related crimes and reflects Pakistan’s growing stature in international policing forums.
