The Punjab Safe City Authority has launched a groundbreaking app called “Post FIR Follow-Up Service,” designed to help women track the progress of their complaints from the comfort of their homes. This initiative, which operates through a Virtual Women Police Station, ensures that women stay in continuous contact with authorities regarding their cases after filing an FIR.
The spokesperson for the Punjab Safe City Authority explained that the app provides real-time updates on case progress, offering a convenient and efficient way for women to stay informed. In addition to case tracking, the app will also offer legal solutions for women facing various issues, ensuring comprehensive support for the affected individuals.
To connect with the Virtual Women Police Station, users can dial 15 and select option 2. The spokesperson emphasized that this new app is a significant step towards improving women’s safety and accessibility to legal assistance, aiming to streamline the process and provide seamless support for women in need.
