A convoy of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by Bushra Bibi, wife of party founder Imran Khan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has reached Dhoke Ghar near Burhan Interchange and is now making its way toward Islamabad. The convoy, which set out from Peshawar on Sunday afternoon, was reported to be at Haropul on the motorway by 8 AM.
Irhan Saleem, district president of PTI, stated that the convoy faced significant obstacles along the route but expressed optimism about entering Islamabad by noon if conditions permit.

Clash with police near Pathargarh:
PTI workers clashed with Punjab police personnel at Pathargarh where a large contingent of LEAs have been deployed who are using tear gas against former ruling party’s workers to deter their advance.
PTI chairman says talks are underway:
Barristers Gohar Khan and Saif held a 90-minute meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail.
Following the meeting, Barrister Gohar described it as significant. Barrister Gohar confirmed to journalists that the PTI founder’s call for protest is final and dismissed any rumours about it being called off.
When asked by a journalist about the details of the ongoing negotiations, Gohar responded that updates would be provided soon and assured that the talks were progressing.
Party leaders meet Imran Khan in jail:
PTI leadership, as per sources, has reached Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail to meet incarcerated founder Imran Khan as party convoys continue their journey toward Islamabad.
The party delegation includes party Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and Adviser to KP CM on Information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, added the sources.

CIA building in Islamabad declared sub-jail:
The Islamabad administration has declared the CIA building in I-9 as a sub-jail, a notification issued by the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad said.
According to the notification, the CIA building has been designated as a sub-jail under Section 3 of the Prisoner Act 1894. The approval for this move was granted by the Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
Metro bus service and Ring Road closed:
The metro bus service and the ring road in Lahore have been shut down, causing significant inconvenience for commuters.
Traffic flow on major roads in Lahore has been heavily impacted, with congestion reported in several areas.
Security Beef up:
As the PTI protest gains momentum, authorities have deployed a substantial police presence. Around 6,000 police personnel are stationed at various entry points to prevent protesters from entering the capital. Police have also set up a strong presence at Chungi 26, where they have stockpiled stones and are prepared with tear gas and rubber bullets for potential crowd control. Rangers have been placed on high alert at this location.

Section 144 imposed:
In preparation for the protests, authorities have implemented Section 144, which prohibits gatherings, and have closed key access roads, including the Srinagar Highway and the Expressway at Khanna Bridge. The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus service has been suspended, and internet and mobile services have been disrupted in the region.
Workers arrested:
Amid the crackdown, police have arrested over 139 PTI workers in Islamabad, with additional arrests across Rawalpindi and other cities in Punjab. Reports suggest that around 490 PTI workers have been detained in various cities, while many others remain unaccounted for.
The Ministry of Interior has also indicated that connectivity will be restricted in areas deemed to have security concerns, further heightening the tension as the protest unfolds.

Bushra Bibi, addressing supporters, emphasized the importance of effective activism and loyalty among party members. She warned that long-term affiliation with PTI would not guarantee electoral success if expectations were not met during the protests. She reiterated that the upcoming demonstration in Islamabad is a crucial test of loyalty to the party, with the primary goal being the release of Imran Khan.
The situation in Islamabad:
The roads connecting the federal capital to Rawalpindi are blocked with all educational institutions in the twin cities closed.
The entry and exit points in the federal capital and Pindi are under strict surveillance as the PTI convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country head towards the Centre.
The road closures, however, caused extreme inconvenience to the residents, especially the ailing people who couldn’t reach hospitals.
Special security squads patrolled the garrison town and additional personnel was deployed at 33 key entry points including Rawat, Mundra, Chakri, and Chongi no 26.
Current situation in Lahore:
Lahore, which was completely sealed off yesterday due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests, gradually started reopening on Monday. Roadblocks have been removed from several locations, and the Metro Bus service has been partially restored, though its route is currently limited.
Traffic has been partially restored at Data Darbar, Azadi Chowk, and Shahdara, with containers and trucks removed to create single-lane passageways.
However, sources indicate that these routes could be closed again in case of emergencies, and police remain deployed in the area.
Motorway sections remain closed for a fourth consecutive day, and bus stands at General Bus Stand, Badami Bagh, and Band Road remain shut.
The Metro Bus service has resumed operations, but with a significantly reduced route. According to the Mass Transit Authority, the service is currently operating only between Gajjumatta and MAO College Chowk.
The route between MAO and Shahdara remains closed. The Metro Bus service has been intermittently suspended or limited for the past three days due to the ongoing protests.
Internet Services suspended, Social media platforms blocked:
With the government employing measures to stop the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) march to Islamabad, social media users across the country are facing hindrances while accessing the platforms.
Although hours have passed, the cause of the outage remains unknown, and no official notification has been issued, raising questions about its timing.
The government had confirmed that they planned on disrupting internet services in areas with security concerns, but there was no comment about social media platforms.
PTI workers attack security officials:
Police on Monday said they had arrested 20 activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a raid for their alleged involvement in attacking police. Whereas, they said, MNAs Shafqat Awan and Ansar managed to flee.
Police said the rally’s participants coming from Sargodha had pelted cops with stones on Jhelum Bridge. The suspects had hidden inthe Arif Town of Joharabad area after crossing the bridge, said police.
