PTI’s “final call” ends in chaos as protesters flee and social media mocks leadership’s escape

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, dubbed the “final call,” ended in disarray, with the leadership reportedly fleeing and leaving their supporters scattered and vulnerable.

The situation has drawn sharp criticism on social media, with users mocking the party’s failure and the perceived abandonment of its workers. One viral comment read, “The revolutionaries left their trousers behind and ran away.”

The protest, which began on Monday, caused significant disruption, including damage to public and private property, business closures, and injuries during clashes. PTI workers reportedly took three days to reach Islamabad but scattered within minutes upon encountering resistance.

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar praised the security forces for their bravery, stating, “Our security agencies successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on the state, despite suffering casualties. No conspiracy against Pakistan under the guise of politics will ever succeed.”

Political analysts also criticized PTI’s failure, with one remarking, “This was the 15th so-called revolution in 30 years supported by certain elements, and it failed like the rest.” Another sarcastically noted, “In battles, one either returns as a hero or as a martyr. PTI chose the path of humiliation.”

As the protest ended, questions surfaced about the party’s future. With its leadership reportedly incapacitated by arrests, supporters are left wondering who will now lead efforts to free Imran Khan.
