The Metro Bus Service resumed partial operations on Monday after a complete suspension caused by ongoing protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
To accommodate commuters, the service is now operational between Gajjumata and MAO College Chowk, while the route from MAO to Shahdara remains closed.
Officials staid that the limited operations are a result of persistent security concerns in the provincial capital.
Traffic in Lahore has largely returned to normal, with key routes like Ravi Bridge, Old Ravi Bridge, and Sagian Ravi Bridge now fully accessible.
According to the Lahore Traffic Police, traffic is flowing smoothly on major arteries, including Thokar Niaz Baig to Multan Road, Raiwind Road, Ferozepur Road, and Gajjumata.
DIG Operations Lahore confirmed partial restoration of traffic at major points, such as Data Darbar, Azadi Chowk, and Shahdara.
However, the Motorway, Eastern Bypass at Babu Sabu Interchange, and Lahore Ring Road remain closed, with all interchanges on the Ring Road shut to vehicular traffic.
