Unconfirmed media reports have claimed that Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have reached Peshawar after escaping from being arrested in Islamabad.
As per reports, family sources of CM have confirmed the arrival of both in the province after a police crackdown in D-Chowk Islamabad.
PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi are safe, according to the information he received from sources he did not disclose.
On the other hand, Bushra Bibi’s sister, Maryam Riaz Watto, has claimed that Bushra may have been “kidnapped,” as the family has not heard from her following the “firing by security officials” on PTI protestors’ vehicles.
In a video message released early Wednesday, Maryam said that if Bushra had reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), she would have contacted her family. She noted that they had received conflicting reports regarding Bushra’s arrest and her supposed arrival in KP.
Maryam also emphasized that the PTI sit-in had gained significant traction and asserted that Bushra would never abandon Imran Khan or flee under such circumstances.
