PTI leader warns Sindh govt against reimposing lockdown

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Khurram Sher Zaman on Thursday warned the Sindh government against reimposing a lockdown to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
Speaking at a press conference, the PTI leader said the Sindh government does not want to resolve the issues and new issues are emerging every day. He claimed the incompetent chief minister keep on criticising the government rather than resolving the problems.
“Asif Zardari and Bilawal are missing for over two months. The people of Sindh are suffering. There is a wave of unemployment,” he said, adding it undecipherable the PPP ministers are criticising the sugar crisis report.
He warned the party will oppose the reimposition of a lockdown and will come on the streets over any such move. He said the Sindh government’s decision to close shops and other businesses at 5PM will not help control the deadly virus.
He asked Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to share facts about the coronavirus situation instead of frightening people. He demanded of the government to allow fuel stations to stay open round the clock to facilitate motorists.
He further demanded that barbershops and beauty salons be also allowed to reopen. He asked the government to allow public transporters to bring their buses on the roads to address the suffering of commuters.
He claimed hundreds of thousands of people are losing their livelihoods daily due to the Sindh government’s measures and need the provision of health and employment.
