The market’s upward momentum followed a strong recovery on Wednesday, when bargain hunters returned after a sharp sell-off in the previous session. However, investor sentiment remained cautious due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The KSE-100 Index gained 1,766.97 points, or 1.02%, to close Wednesday’s session at 175,285.78 points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s textile exports recorded a marginal increase of 0.26% during July–June 2025-26, reaching $17.93 billion compared with $17.88 billion in the previous fiscal year, according to provisional data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Wednesday.
