LAHORE: The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has said that that an agreement has been reached between the provincial government and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Addressing a ceremony in connection with the foundation stone laying ceremony of Akbar Chowk Underpass and Flyover in Lahore on Tuesday, he said the PCB would arrange lights during the matches, and the same wouldn’t have to be hired on rent.
“We are not running away from elections. Elections will be held whenever they are ordered and scheduled,” he added.
“We will try to do as much work as possible in a short span of time. The development projects will be continued,” he vowed.
Mohsin Naqvi said holding transparent elections was among the top most responsibility of the caretaker set up, and one of the top most priority as well.
Referring to removal of security arrangements from the Lahore residence of Imran Khan at Zaman Park, he said Imran Khan wasn’t present at his Zaman Park moment, as he had left for Islamabad, but whenever he came back, would review to provide security again.
