PSL 5: Hashim Amla joins Peshawar Zalmi as batting mentor
South African legend, Hashim Amla has joined Peshawar Zalmi and will act as a batting mentor of the team for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020.
Peshawar Zalmi’s owner, Javed Afridi made this announcement today (Thursday).
Javed Afridi said, “Hashim Amla is a legendary batsman and a big name; his presence will bring value to our squad.”
He further said that Amla’s presence in the league would inspire and craft the skills of emerging players in the squad.
Head Coach of Peshawar Zalmi, Muhammad Akram said that Amla’s inclusion would allow young cricketers to hone their skills for the upcoming league.
Amla represented South Africa in 124 Tests, 181 ODIs and 44 T20 matches.
