Property dealers seek justice against false FIRs

ISLAMABAD: Property dealers have demanded justice against false and unlawful first information report (FIRs) registered by police in favour of a fake journalist.

The property dealers and civil society Islamabad today (Saturday) have staged a protest against the false and unlawful FIRs registered by police in favour of a fake journalist Sheikh Yasir Shehzad.

Dozens of protestors, holding banners, raised slogans against police, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and said that because of bribery and corruption, the civic authority was taking a long time to solve their issues in various sectors which benefit police and other criminals to loot citizens.

Talking to MM News the protesters said Sheikh Yasir Shehzad who calls himself a journalist keeps blackmailing CDA officers for his illegal activities and registers false FIRs against other people.

They alleged that Sheikh Yasir along with his accomplices with the support of police and officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) looted millions of rupees from citizens.

They said that the civic authority’s officials especially those working in various offices of the land directorate always seem reluctant to work. “You have to pay bribes from the very start of your case right through to the end when the plot is transferred from one owner to another,” they added.

The property dealers said the criminals also threatened and severely beat up several people in the city.  The protestors have appealed to the concerned authorities to take legal action against the criminals, corrupt police official of the civic authority. “Otherwise, we will stage a sit-in in front of the prime minister office,” they warned.
