MUZAFFARABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged the people of Pakistan to observe social distancing and self-discipline to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Talking to journalists in Muzaffarabad today (Tuesday), President Alvi said that self-discipline should also be observed in mosques during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
President Alvi visited Muzaffarabad to oversee the situation arising out of the coronavirus pandemic. He lauded the steps taken by the AJK government to fight coronavirus.
He also appreciated the role of the AJK people for observing self-discipline and expressed hope that they will follow the government’s guidance in the future as well.
In this regard, he said that the masses should follow the 20-point agenda during the month of Ramazan in order to contain the outbreak of the deadly disease.
Commenting on Indian Occupied Kashmir, President Alvi strongly condemned the use of heavy guns along the Line of Control (LoC) by India.
The President further said that the heart of Pakistani nation thronged with the people of Kashmir and Pakistan will continue exposing atrocities being perpetrated in Occupied Kashmir by the Indian regime.
He also urged the Secretary-General of the United Nations to take notice of the Indian atrocities in IoK and discriminatory treatment being meted out to Muslims in India.
