Pakistan People’s Party has a prominent position in the country’s federal and provincial politics, late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto watered the foundations of this party with their blood and the current leadership is eating the fruits of this shadow tree.
At the global level, when one country negotiates with another, the most factors that affect the negotiations between these two countries are the interests of these two countries. In the same way, if a political party takes an action based on its interests, it should be considered legitimate, but it is not done.
The reason for this is very simple if we talk about the interests at the level of the countries, they are domestic rather than national interests which are dear to every citizen of the respective country and he can even risk his life for them, but the interests of the party are the interests of certain political leaders or the leadership of that party.
This is the reason why when Murtaza Wahab, on behalf of the People’s Party, knowing his own interests, said that if the mayor of another party came to Karachi, he would keep on crying for power and if it happened to the People’s Party, it would be easy to run the affairs. If so, the PPP had to face severe criticism.
Yesterday, Ameer Jamaat e Islami Karachi said that we will not accept the legislation of the will of the People’s Party. Although the majority of the Sindh government is PPP members and the number of elected representatives of other political parties is like salt in the flour.
Still, Ameer Jamaat e Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the People’s Party has a special kind of divisive mindset. “You say that if the PPP mayor does not come, resources will not be available. You will not be able to withhold funds. You will not be able to do anything, the mayor will come from Jamaat-e-Islami,” he said.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman also accused the People’s Party of using negative tactics to achieve their goals, so the question here is whether the People’s Party is right or the Jamaat-e-Islami. Because both political parties are trying to bring their mayor.
Readers will remember that former mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar used to cry for more and more powers and whenever he was asked to solve various problems of Karachi, he used to say that he does not have powers. Murtaza Wahab’s statement that if a mayor of another party comes, he will continue to cry about his powers.
The first thing is that Waseem Akhtar who used to say that I have no powers, if it was not completely true, it was also not a complete lie and secondly, if the mayor of Jamaat-e-Islami came, he would really cry about his powers. Will keep crying. How can the People’s Party, which did not give powers to the mayor of MQM earlier, give it to Jamaat-e-Islami?
