OTTAWA: Police in the Canadian capital have arrested 70 truck drivers involved in a protest against the Corona policy.
On the last day, Canadian police arrested 70 people to eliminate the demonstration against the Corona policy and removed dozens of vehicles that were affecting Ottawa for three weeks. However, hundreds of protesters are still refusing to leave, prompting the clearance process to continue through the weekend.
A journalist of the news agency saw that the police took inside took and many protesters were taken to the hackers, but some protesters were lying on the ground, and they refused to get out of their truck, glasses of their windows. They were broken into, after which the police dragged them out.
“We have arrested 70 people for violating the Corona policy,” Ottawa’s interim police chief Steve Bell told a news conference. “We are in control of the situation and we are working to clear the area, but we are doing it without harming the protesters,” he said.

A large group of Canadian truck drivers and their supporters gathered in Ottawa on January 28 to demand the lifting of the coronavirus ban in Canada. Protesters’ trucks blocked the roads around Parliament Hill, which residents and local leaders have condemned as ‘siege’ and ‘occupation’.
Earlier this week, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called on his government to take immediate action to disperse protesters and give more power to law enforcement agencies.
