KARACHI: Former Prime Minister and PMLN leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has raised his voice against disqualification of any politician.
Talking to media after appearing in an accountability court here on Friday, he was asked to comment on Toshakhana reference against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, on which he said that his party did not want to see any politician disqualified.
He said all competitions between political parties and leaders should be held on political grounds,
When asked to comment on reports of PTI chairman’s backdoor contacts with the ‘establishment’, he said such contacts always proved detrimental for the country.
Commenting on his appearance in the accountability court, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi severely criticized the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and said that Pakistan couldn’t move forward with the existence of NAB.
It is pertinent to mention here that the current DG ISPR had confirmed backdoor meeting of PMLN leader and former Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair with the military top brass during which he tried to seek relief on cases pertaining to Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
