ISLAMABAD: Amid rising political tensions, convoys of the main party of the opposition alliance, the Pakistan Democratic Movement, (PML-N) started leaving for Islamabad.

Convoys of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have entered Punjab from Sindh and will reach Islamabad via various cities of Punjab where they will be received by opposition workers.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supporters led by Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz will leave Lahore for Islamabad from Model Town.

PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb appealed to the people to join the long march and said that the nation should stand with the opposition in this crucial hour. This will be a no-confidence motion against the government.

Meanwhile, the local administration of Islamabad has issued show cause notices to the organizers of JUI-F for violating NOC before a public meeting in Islamabad.
