KARACHI: During the funeral prayers of renowned anchor and politician Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain in Karachi on Friday, pickpockets deprived important personalities, including his son, of mobile phones.
According to sources, during the funeral prayers, the pickpockets continued their work taking advantage of poor security. They deprived Amir Liaquat Hussain’s son Ahmed Amir, who led his father’s funeral prayers, of his mobile phone.
During the process from funeral prayers to burial at the premises of Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s mausoleum, the pickpockets continued to show their full potential by taking advantage of the rush and poor security.
The pickpockets also stole the mobile phones of known social leader Ramzan Chhepa and four of his volunteers. When contacted in this regard, the police officials also confirmed that they had received complaints about the said incidents.
