PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has disposed of the petitions filed by Tehreek-e-Insaf on the issue of elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the light of the Supreme Court’s order.
According to details, PTI’s petitions for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elections were heard by Peshawar High Court Justice Roohul Amin and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim. The court was informed of the decision of the Supreme Court.
The petitioner’s lawyer Shamail Butt said that the Supreme Court has given its verdict regarding the election. Justice Ruhul Amin while giving remarks said that the decision of the Supreme Court on the election has come. “We are bound by this decision,” he said.

Justice Rooh-ul-Amin of the High Court remarked that the governor should give the date in consultation with the Election Commission. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim while giving remarks said that the Supreme Court has decided that the government should give the date of the election.
While giving the remarks of the court, it was said that if the decision of the Supreme Court is not implemented, then the High Court can be approached. Shamail Butt said that it is clearly written in the constitution. Justice Rooh-ul-Amin remarked that those who make it, wish they could read it.
