ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) of Pakistan is set to dispatch well-trained and qualified nurses to Saudi Arabia, according to Pakistani state media.
This initiative comes in response to the Kingdom’s pressing need for nursing staff across various specialized fields, the state-run APP news agency reported.
The required fields include cardiac care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, critical care, hemodialysis, neonatal care, oncology, surgical care, and intensive care. The report emphasized that Saudi Arabia urgently needs nursing staff and the OEC has initiated the process by advertising the necessary qualifications and experience required for the positions abroad.
The eligibility criteria specify that only qualified female candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BScN (4-years) or (Post RN) degree, along with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience, will be considered. Additionally, applicants must be female and not exceed the age of 45.
Successful applicants will be entitled to benefits including an annual air ticket, mid-year benefits such as 10 calendar days post leave and a mid-year round trip air ticket, as well as end-of-service benefits (Saudi service award) calculated based on their years of service.
Those interested in applying can do so via the OEC’s website (https://oec.gov.pk/), UAN 0311-0011-632, or by email at helpdesk@oec.gov.pk.
