ISLAMABAD: Petroleum product prices have been increased once again in Pakistan, with the ex-depot price of petrol rising by Rs6.88 to Rs391.22 per litre, while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs5.62 to Rs421.45 per litre. The revised prices took effect on September 17, 2026.
According to sources, petrol was previously priced at Rs384.24 per litre on an ex-depot basis. Following the latest increase, its price has climbed to Rs391.22 per litre. Similarly, the price of HSD has risen from Rs415.83 to Rs421.45 per litre.
The latest increase in petroleum product prices has also heightened public concerns over a potential fuel shortage, particularly amid fears that supply routes could be disrupted.
However, Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik has reassured the public that the country has sufficient domestic fuel stocks to meet demand throughout September and October.
According to the petroleum minister, the government is also exploring various options to secure additional fuel cargoes to ensure a stable supply in November.
