KARACHI: Several areas of Karachi will experience power outages for several hours on September 17, 2026, according to a schedule issued by K-Electric (KE). The utility said the temporary interruptions are being carried out for routine maintenance, repair and technical work.
According to the schedule, electricity supply in 11th Commercial will remain suspended from 10am to 5pm, while 51-C Area will face an outage from 10am to 6pm. Abbas Bawazir will remain without power from 10:30am to 6pm, while Abdullah Mor will experience an interruption from 8:59am to 5:59pm.
Power supply at Al-Taj Clinic will be suspended from 8:59am to 5pm, Ara Machine from 9:30am to 6pm, and Aziz Sons from 9:59am to 10:59pm.
Meanwhile, Baldia School will face an outage from 10:01am to 6:01pm, Bose from 9:59am to 5:59pm, Carlton Hotel from 9:59am to 4:59pm, and Chand Market from 9am to 6pm.
In Defence 10, electricity will remain suspended from 11:29am to 5:59pm, while Defence 12 will face an outage from 10:59am to 2:59pm. Some feeders in DHA Phase 8 will also experience scheduled interruptions.
Other affected areas include Guru Mandir, from 8am to 6pm; Haseeb Polani, from 8:59am to 5:59pm; Jiwani Heights, from 9am to 6pm; and Lawrence Apartment, from 8:59am to 4:59pm.
According to the schedule, Lubna Farm will face an outage from 9am to 6pm, Mangiani from 8:59am to 5:29pm, Maximus from 9am to 6pm, and MG Industries from 10:30am to 6pm.
Power interruptions are also scheduled for National Coaching and Nishtar Park from 8am to 6pm, Pak Handicraft from 9:59am to 4:59pm, and PIA Society from 9am to 6pm.
A prolonged outage has been scheduled at Railway Marshalling Yard from 11am to 11pm, while Razi Tower will experience an interruption from 11:58am to 2:58pm.
In addition, Salma Super Market will face an outage from 2:29pm to 5:29pm, Silicon Product from 10:59am to 7:59pm, Gulberg from 9am to 6pm, and Wasi Country Park from 8:59am to 5:59pm.
KE has advised residents in the affected areas to plan essential activities accordingly and make alternative arrangements during the scheduled power interruptions.
