PESHAWAR: Police have foiled the attack attempted by the terrorists in the Sarband area.
According to the details, terrorists attacked the Achini police checkpost in the limits of PS Sarband in Peshawar. As per the SSP, around 8 to 10 terrorists attacked the check post.
The firing continued between the police and the terrorists for some time, but during the retaliatory firing, the terrorists escaped from the scene. SSP Operations Haroon Al Rasheed said that the attack was two-pronged.

SSP Operations said that firing was going on at the police post from two sides. The police repelled the terrorists with the help of heavy retaliatory firing. “No casualties were reported as a result of the incident,” he asserted.
It should be remembered that earlier two soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred in a fierce exchange of fire with terrorists in North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two terrorists were killed and two were injured in the encounter two days ago. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the dead terrorists.
