KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards, acting on a tip-off, recovered 59 kilograms of narcotics from a Suzuki Bolan vehicle and arrested the smuggler.
According to details, Pakistan Coast Guard took action after receiving a report of drug smuggling from Saeedabad, Karachi area through undercover sources. The DG Pakistan Coast Guard directed the concerned commanders to intensify the checking in their area.
A vehicle was chased on suspicious movement during a mobile patrol of the Pakistan Coast Guard. Suzuki Bolan was stopped and searched, during which 59 kg of high-quality crystal was recovered. The smuggler was taken into custody on the spot.

The Coast Guard fears the drugs were to be smuggled out of the country by sea. The seized drugs are worth millions of US dollars in the global market while in Pakistani currency it is worth Rs.179.90 million.
Further investigations are underway into the drugs and smugglers seized. The Coast Guard says it is committed to preventing all forms of trafficking. We will continue to play our role for the stability of the country’s economy.
