MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three individuals who allegedly attempted to travel to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas with the intention of seeking employment there.
The FIA’s Immigration Department took action at Multan Airport, offloading and arresting the three passengers who were travelling to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas.
According to the FIA, the passengers had allegedly planned to secure employment in Saudi Arabia in collusion with an agent. The agent reportedly assured them that their visa category would be changed after their arrival in Saudi Arabia.
The FIA said the agent had also collected substantial amounts of money from the passengers in the name of facilitating immigration clearance.
The arrested passengers have been handed over to the FIA for further investigation, including identifying the agent involved and initiating legal proceedings.
