‘Pathaan’ yet to surpass INR 1000 crore mark

Yash Raj Films’ Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, is making history and is still on an incredible run at the domestic and overseas market. However, the film’s collection at the worldwide box office stands at 988 crores gross worldwide, and yet to cross 1000 crores mark.

Ever since the film got released, it has been collecting tremendous amount of money from all across the globe. The collection never slowed down even with the release of other films like; Marvel’s Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Shehzada.

On its fourth Sunday, the film continued to attract audiences to the theatre even when new releases Shehzada and Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are up for competition. On day 26, its fourth Sunday, Pathaan box office collection stood at around Rs 4.28 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the total of Pathaan to more than Rs 992 crore, and it seems it will be able to enter the Rs 1000 crore club within this week.

However, a segment of media in Pakistan reported that after registering a major incline on February 19, ‘Pathaan’ created history by surpassing INR 1000 crore mark worldwide.

The Fact-Check conducted by MM News revealed that as of Monday, February 2023, Pathaan has now recorded $45.35 million in the overseas territories alone, while nett collection in India stand at 511.42 crores (Hindi- 493.60 crores, South languages- 17.82 crores). The total worldwide gross stands at 988 crores gross (India gross- 616 crores, overseas gross- 372 crores), and Is Now Just 12 Crores Away From Joining The 1000 Crore Club.
