In the United Nations General Assembly, the Indian representative was forced to walk out after hearing the statement of Second Secretary Muhammad Rashid. India could not even respond to Pakistan.
In response to the allegations made by the Indian Foreign Minister in the United Nations General Assembly session, Second Secretary Muhammad Rashid gave a strong reply.
Muhammad Rashid said that we had not intended to speak again at this forum. However, it is extremely shameful that India has stooped so low as to distort the name of a UN member state.
He said that such language neither reflects maturity nor responsibility. Rather, it highlights India’s frustration and its narrow-mindedness at the global level.
Muhammad Rashid said in the session that mocking the name of a sovereign state is not only discourteous but also a deliberate attempt to malign and insult an entire people. This is not a local political gathering.
He said that by indulging in such rhetoric, India damages its own credibility and shows the world that it has no solid argument.
Only, regretfully, shallow taunts which are not worthy of any serious debate.
Second Secretary Muhammad Rashid, holding up a mirror to India in the session, said that India itself has been found involved in sponsoring and supporting terrorism beyond its borders. Credible reports indicate that Indian intelligence agencies run networks to destabilize neighboring countries.
He further said that it is highly regrettable that Indian intelligence operatives are accused of providing financial support and guidance to groups involved in sabotage and targeted killings around the world.
The Second Secretary said that harming regional stability and violating international law has become India’s habit.
He said that therefore such actions in fact expose the duplicity of India’s counterterrorism claims and raise serious concerns that instead of fighting terrorism, India is actually fueling it.
