Pakistan wins World Youth Scrabble team title

Pakistan delivered an outstanding performance at the 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship, winning the world team title for a record seventh time.

Pakistani players once again demonstrated their dominance on the global stage by winning the highest number of trophies at the championship.

Pakistan secured first place in the team event, while Australia’s Dineth Fernando was crowned the individual world champion.

Three Pakistani players finished among the top 10 in the individual competitions.

Pakistan’s Ahmed Salman won the Under-16 category, while Ahad Sualat Fatimi claimed the Under-14 world title.

In the Under-12 category, Pakistan’s Mustafa Farhan finished runner-up. The youngest member of the Pakistani team, Taimur Wasim, also captured the Under-10 world title.

Taimur had previously impressed at the international level by winning the Under-8 world title last year.

A total of 183 players from 11 countries participated in the 21st World Youth Scrabble Championship.

Rising Pakistan’s star Umair Arif wins Hong Kong Junior Squash Open

Muhammad Umair Arif, a rising Pakistani junior squash star, has won the Under-17 title at the Hong Kong Junior Squash Open. He captured the U17 championship by defeating England’s Luke McBride in a thrilling 3-2 comeback final (4-11, 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 11-4). He was also the runner-up in the same tournament.
