In a major operation at Multan Airport, FIA Immigration foiled an alleged attempt at human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation under the guise of Umrah visas and arrested two passengers, including a woman.
According to an FIA spokesperson, two passengers who had arrived to travel to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas were stopped during immigration clearance due to suspicious behavior and questioned.
During the questioning, important information reportedly emerged regarding their alleged involvement in commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
The spokesperson said that an examination of the passengers’ mobile phones, chats, and other digital material revealed alleged evidence related to commercial sexual exploitation.
Authorities also obtained important details about an organized network involved in sexual exploitation.
According to the initial investigation, an agent had arranged for the passengers to travel to Saudi Arabia under the guise of Umrah visas.
The alleged plan was to subject the passengers to commercial sexual exploitation in Saudi Arabia.
The mobile phones used by the passengers and other relevant material have been taken into custody for further investigation.

Both passengers, along with the mobile phones and other evidence, have been handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Multan.
The spokesperson said that the scope of the investigation has been expanded to identify other individuals involved in commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Action will be taken in accordance with the law against all those involved in the organized network.
