KARACHI: Pakistan has won the toss and decided to bat first against Sri Lanka in second One-day International (ODI) at National Stadium today.
The second game of the three-match ODI series was supposed to be played on Sunday but again due to heavy rain on the ground, the match was postponed by a day.
The weather for Monday is forecast to be dry and bright that can allow groundsmen to prepare the venue for the game after heavy rains that hit the city for five consecutive days.
Both the teams had their pre-match training session at National Stadium ahead of the match with Sri Lankan sweating it out in hot and humid Sunday afternoon.
Sri Lanka’s team was given a warm welcome upon their arrival last week. The citizens will be advised to plan their movements accordingly and stay updated via local news mediums.
Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan is part of an ongoing effort to revive international cricket in Pakistan since a terrorist attack on a bus carrying Sri Lankan players in 2009 made it difficult for the country to host international sides.
