Shahid Afridi thanks Sri Lanka for playing in Pakistan

KARACHI: Cricketer Shahid Afridi has thanked Sri Lanka Cricket for sending its team to Pakistan to play the ODI series between the two countries.
Sri Lanka will play a three-match ODI series in Karachi from Friday before traveling to Lahore for the same number of T20Is.
Shahid Afridi said in a video on his YouTube channel, “I would like to congratulate the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). I would also like to thank the Sri Lankan cricket board for sending their team to Pakistan.”

Afridi added that fans were missing the international cricket in Pakistan for quite some time and the players are keen to perform on home turf.
Afridi said, “Please come and support both teams in such a way that when the Sri Lankan team returns, they feel as if they have played on home turf.”
Shahid Afridi further said that a message should be sent that Pakistan is a beautiful country with hospitable people.
Earlier on Wednesday, Sri Lanka’s national cricket team arrived in Pakistan to play for the matches between the two countries.
The three ODI matches will be played in Karachi. They will then travel to Lahore to play the same number of T20I fixtures. The visiting team was given a warm welcome upon their arrival.
