KARACHI: The global epidemic of coronavirus has killed 12 more people in Pakistan, bringing the total number of deaths to 28,312.
In the last 24 hours, 554 more coronavirus cases were reported across the country, according to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC). The total number of virus cases in the country has reached 1.266 million.
According to the NCOC, 42,126 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours and the rate of positive cases was 1.31 percent. The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 466,432, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 177,038, in Punjab 438,271, in Islamabad 166,543, in Balochistan 33,138, in Azad Kashmir 34,412 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 10,370.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 12,868 people lost their lives while 7,534 people died in Sindh, 5,693 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 937 in Islamabad, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 354 in Balochistan, and 740 in Azad Kashmir.
