ISLAMABAD: At least twelve more deaths have been reported from coronavirus in Pakistan and the total number of deaths due to the epidemic has reached 6,535.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center, 624 new cases have been reported from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 316,351.
The number of people recovering from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 31,228 and the number of patients under treatment is 8,528.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad has reached 16,936. 100,148 cases have been reported in Punjab, 138,891 in Sindh, 38,141 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,439 in Balochistan, 3,884 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 2,912 in Azad Kashmir.

The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 2,245 in Punjab and 2,531 in Sindh, while 1,263 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 184 in Islamabad, 146 in Balochistan, 89 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 77 in Azad Kashmir.
There are facilities for coronavirus patients in 735 hospitals in Pakistan and the number of ventilators for corona patients in hospitals is 1,920.
There are 132 testing laboratories operating in the country and trace, test, and quarantine strategies are working effectively in several cities.
The increase in the number of confirmed cases and suspects of the illness along with deaths caused by the virus hints that the virus is continuously haunting the population with significant severity.
