Pakistan’s mobile phone imports recorded a substantial rise of 29% during the first nine months of the current fiscal year, reaching Rs 406.38 billion, according to official data. The increase highlights a sharp growth in import activity compared to the same period last year.
According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, mobile phone imports rose by 29.15% during the first nine months of the ongoing fiscal year.
The report showed that in March 2026, mobile phone imports increased by 14.28% on a year-on-year basis.
However, on a month-on-month basis, imports in March declined by 4.26%.
From July 2025 to March 2026, total mobile phone imports stood at Rs 406.38 billion, compared to Rs 314.65 billion recorded in the same period last year.
In March 2026 alone, Pakistan imported mobile phones worth Rs 41.70 billion, compared to Rs 36.49 billion in March 2025. In February 2026, imports were recorded at Rs 43.56 billion.
