KARACHI: Pakistan has released the latest foreign exchange rates for both the open market and interbank market. According to rates updated at around 12 noon on September 12, 2026, the U.S. dollar was quoted at Rs278.05 for buying and Rs278.55 for selling in the open market.
In the open market, the British pound was available at Rs375.75 for buying and Rs378.70 for selling, while the euro was quoted at Rs322.48 for buying and Rs325.46 for selling.
The Saudi riyal was traded at Rs74.05 for buying and Rs74.70 for selling, while the UAE dirham was quoted at Rs75.75 for buying and Rs76.58 for selling.
The Chinese yuan was available at Rs38.27 for buying and Rs38.99 for selling. The Canadian dollar was quoted at Rs198.82 for buying and Rs204.81 for selling, while the Australian dollar stood at Rs199.05 for buying and Rs202.47 for selling.
The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7339 for buying and Rs1.8337 for selling in the open market.
Interbank Market Rates
In the interbank market, the U.S. dollar was quoted at Rs277.25 for buying and Rs277.75 for selling.
The euro was available at Rs321.67 for buying and Rs322.25 for selling, while the British pound was quoted at Rs374.29 for buying and Rs374.96 for selling.
The Saudi riyal stood at Rs73.83 for buying and Rs73.97 for selling in the interbank market, while the UAE dirham was quoted at around Rs75.75.
Among other major currencies, the Swiss franc was quoted at Rs340.77 for buying and Rs341.38 for selling. The Singapore dollar stood at Rs218.60 for buying and Rs218.99 for selling, while the Canadian dollar was traded at Rs200.81 for buying and Rs201.17 for selling.
