The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that the long-awaited 5G licenses are expected to be issued by February or March next year.
According to the PTA chairman, preparations are in their final stages as the authority reviews the technical, regulatory, and financial requirements to ensure a transparent and internationally compliant licensing process.
The issuance of 5G licenses is being regarded as a major step toward modernizing the country’s telecom sector.
The launch of this technology is expected to significantly improve connectivity, enhance internet speeds, and promote advanced digital services across the country.
Experts believe that this development will strengthen the digital economy, improve IT exports, and lay a strong foundation for future technology-driven initiatives.
