MULTAN: Five people were killed when a speeding car met with a horrific accident near Sabzazar Metro Station on Bosan Road in Multan. The vehicle’s engine caught fire following the crash, but rescue firefighters managed to extinguish the flames.
According to rescue officials, the accident occurred when a speeding Toyota Corolla went out of control, struck a road divider and then crashed into the wall of a vacant plot. The impact severely damaged the vehicle and caused its engine to catch fire.
Officials said all five occupants died at the scene due to the severity of the crash. Rescue personnel arrived shortly after receiving the report and launched an emergency response operation.
Rescue teams recovered the bodies of all five occupants from the wreckage, while firefighters brought the flames around the car’s bonnet under control. The bodies were subsequently shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
According to rescue officials, three of the deceased were young men from Shujaabad, while the identities of the remaining two victims have yet to be established.
