Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has signed for Yorkshire County Cricket Club as an overseas player for the 2026 season.
The move adds further depth to Yorkshire’s overseas options, while giving the experienced Pakistani cricketer another opportunity to showcase his skills in the competitive county circuit.
Ashraf has been brought in to replace injured Australian all-rounder Will Sutherland as Yorkshire’s overseas signing.
He will be available for the Vitality Blast group stages as well as rounds seven and eight of the Rothesay County Championship.
The 32-year-old bowling all-rounder has represented Pakistan in 17 Test matches and 85 international T20s, bringing significant international experience to the county side.

He has also been in strong form in domestic cricket, featuring for Islamabad United in the ongoing Pakistan Super League season. Recently, he became only the second all-rounder in PSL history to achieve the milestone of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets.
Expressing his excitement, Ashraf said he was delighted to join Yorkshire, adding that several Pakistan players who have previously represented the club spoke highly of its environment and quality. He said he is looking forward to arriving at Headingley and beginning his new chapter with the team.
