Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex Camila Morrone seems to be moving on with her life after she quietly broke up with the Revenant star earlier in the summer as she has been spotted checking out an apartment with a friend and a realtor in Los Angeles (LA).
The model, who turned 25th birthday on June 16, was seen in Beverly Hills as she visited an apartment, had taken the big step of moving in with her 47-year-old ex, and now she seems to be moving on with her life.
Camila was spotted wearing a reserved fashion for the outing with a striking busty black dress. Her friend had on a white short-sleeve blouse and a black skirt with a lacy hem. It wasn’t clear which of the two pals was in the market for a new apartment.
Back in July, DailyMail reported that Leonardo DiCaprio had been spotted with a 22-year-old Ukrainian model in Saint-Tropez.
Another British paper The Sun on Tuesday reported Camila and Leonardo had ‘quietly’ ended their relationship earlier this summer.
Insiders close to DiCaprio was quoted as saying in the publication that he and Morrone had been growing apart recently.
‘Leo and Camila ended their relationship over the summer,’ a source said. ‘There are no bad feelings between them. It just came to a natural conclusion.’
The Titanic star was first met with Camila back in 2008, when she was only 12.
His longtime friend Al Pacino, who had dated Camila’s mother Lucila Solá for years, made the introductions, and Leonardo apparently remained friends with the family for years.
Leonardo and Camila officially got together sometime in 2017, following his breakup with model Nina Agdal just days before the Cannes Film Festival, though representatives for both initially denied that they were together.
Although, many fans criticized her for dating a much-older man, but didn’t seem to care much, however, she did talk about people’s mean comments in one of her Instagram posts.
‘My god, people are so mean and full of anger with people that they know nothing about,’ she wrote in her Instagram Stories in response to the controversy. ‘I guess I just hope on this Friday that people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interests elsewhere, because living without hatred feels pretty good.’
Why did Leonardo and Camila break up?
A source told E! News said they had both been “traveling a lot” and “distance played a factor.” Ultimately, the relationship “ran its course.”
This echoes what another source told The Sun, that “there are no bad feelings between [Leo and Camila]. It just came to a natural conclusion.” That “natural conclusion,” fans have been jokingly speculating on social media, is the fact that the model turned 25 in June 2022.
At 47, Leo certainly has a very particular dating pattern, so much so that one Redditor mapped out the Titanic star’s relationships over the past 20 years to show that not one girlfriend has made it much past the age of 25.
Comedian Amy Schumer commented on this in a playful dig while hosting the Oscars in 2022, saying in her monologue “[Leo]’s done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet…for his girlfriends. Because he’s older and they’re younger. OK, you get it.”
The split is still somewhat of a shock, as sources close to the couple said they had been getting “serious” until relatively recently.
