The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has declared the meningitis vaccine compulsory for all travelers planning to go abroad.
The move aims to ensure compliance with global health regulations and safeguard both travelers and destination countries from the risk of meningitis outbreaks.
A notification has been issued to health officials across all districts, directing strict compliance with the International Health Regulations 2005.
According to officials, travelers to certain countries will not be allowed to travel without receiving the meningitis vaccine.
Authorities have been instructed to issue vaccination certificates immediately to international passengers.
The certificate must include details such as the vaccine brand, batch number, and expiry date. Officials have emphasized that arranging the vaccine is the personal responsibility of the traveler, and failure to obtain it may result in being denied international travel clearance.
